Just looking for a couple of new donuts for my HZ. My Kingy has 185/75-14 tyres on the factory 6 inch steel rims. I have the opportunity to purchase two 215/65-14 tyres and have some 14x7 inch mags at home looking for tyres. If I were to fit these tyres to the mags would I keep the overall diameter fairly close to what it is now?

Thanks

Peter

Nominal OD of the 215/65 is 635.1mm
Nominal OD of the 185/75 is 633.1mm

That 2mm difference is only 0.3% difference.

Considering the difference in OD with the depth of the tread on a new & old tyre varies by some 16mm, the 2mm difference is 2/10ths
Cheers,

Mick
