After trying to buy a decent 186s car for quite some time i have decided
that i will see if there is a 307 car available instead, at a price range $35 000 to $58 000.

Still happy to look at a 80737 186s car if available, want as original and complete as possible.Have a preference for bright blue metallic , black interior and powerglide though will look at others.

Know most cars that are advertised at the moment on the various websites (there aren't many).

Any help appreciated .

Thanks

The mate knows of a HK GTS for $1200 needs restoring and some small things missing

Im currently chasing a HG GTS for $300 that needs an Interior and a coat of paint.

And Ive just swapped a HK Kingswood wagon (Buggered with rust) for a HQ Coupe. Just waiting for it to be delivered.

Theres bargains to be had just got to meet the rite people.

Have fun.

Cheers Stephen

Seems as though as prices have slowed down there is very little for sale,

It will be interesting when there are a few cars that come up for sale that have to be sold ?

they have to hang on to them or else they are gunna do their balls on them. most the people that jumped on the bandwagon, either couldnt afford or had no knowledge of the right cars to buy, so they settled on GM product due to some misguided information given to them, and as we all know, most the GM product is very soft and not exactly the best investment.
so, the only way they can justify their existance to their wife/bank manager, is either to hold on to it, or pray that their is a similar buying frenzy sooner, rather than later.

we wreck i think you summed it up perfectly , i dont think there we will be another buying frenzy like the one that passed, i think that if guys were thinking of selling the sooner the better because most of these cars are overpriced and will gradually come down maybe slower than we think but they will come down to more realistic levels.

And if they dont come down?
Sure the high end of the market has nose-dived, but blame the recession for that.
People will still pay good money for the matching number cars, its just there aint many left after the boom buying frenzy went through.

A quick search on eBay and you will find 3 HK Monaros, 4 HTs and 4 HGs. 8-10 months ago there was 3-4 times this amount of coupes for sale.

I found a HT GTS with bids at $35,000, a HT GTS in need of resto up to 18,000. These prices aint much different to what these cars were pulling at their peak. Are they?? I advertised my original HK GTS (in need of resto) during the boom and it hit 18,000.

The market hasnt dropped as much as the Bathurst coupes suggest.

NB. My opinion only.

thats exactly what we are saying matt...
there is less for sale now, as in not many on the market, due to the softness of the car...so they keep them instead of taking a dump on them, they dont even advertise them..just last week, could have bought a very very nice one indeed, change was to be had out of $38k we nearly bought it to part it out, but cbf dealing with monaro people...so a friend bought it, nice ride, and cheap.
recession or no recession matt, they worth a big fat zero mate..sorry
understand now??

We Wreck...
What a pity you didnt buy the monaro and part it out..
I would have given you $20 bucks each for the GTS guards and $19 for the steering wheel.
Cause thats all you reckon they are worth...
