Gday all, i have been doing some research to no avail, Does anyone know what type of 308 engine it is if there is a big X above the 308 casting on the side of the block?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

It was allegedly for an L34 block but other genuine L34 blocks dont have it. Most people use block features, engine prefixes and cast date codes to verify these blocks.

It is a commercial block such as used in the Bedford trucks, nothing to do with L34s.
