Id played around with gaps and heat ranges recently. Seems most info points to a 1.5mm gap with HEI ignition, which i have. But with these slightly hotter Bosch plugs the tips seem a fair way away (and back) from the electrode, like they're not really able to accomodate such a gap? What plug would you put in a red 202, 10and a bit/1 compression, HEI ignition, ported head, bigger valves, twin strombergs and my cam: IN. 30/70 280 adv, 214@50thou, 112 lobe centre, .440 lift EX. 79/31 290adv, 224@50thou .465 lift. Can't remember total timing to be honest. Set by a shop. Runs nothing but Vpower. Seems everyone swears by something different. Haha. Edited by user Wednesday, 24 June 2009 5:43:03 AM(UTC)

1.5mm is about right with HEI, any closer and the electrode burns due to the higher output of the HEI.
