my gearbox drives good in rev & 1st but willnot change up,it neutralises till the speed reduces then goes back into 1st.is this a govenor fault or something else?

Well at least you won't be done for speeding! Seriously though check the vacuum modulator connection as this rubber hose sometimes splits, also check for a good conection at the manifold too. Lastly I'm sure you've checked the fluid level, in Park with |
202 and three on the tree, can't get more Aussie than that!! |

My trimatic sometimes neutralises when I accelerate a bit quickly and it kicks back to first. Box was rebuilt but it still does it occasionally. Any ideas?
