ok, its time for a 308 conversion into the 202 VH, the donor is a black motor from a VK Calais. The box in the VH right now is a trimatic, will i need to change this box or not? Thanks for any help and any help i get in the future as i'm sure i'll have a few more questions.

Yes, the bellhousing bolt patter (and size) is different for the V8.
The V8 trimatics also have better internals & are calibrated to suit the torque of an 8. |

You should also change the diff. It will break pretty easily as it is just a disguised banjo. |
