working on my vc commodore wagon doing a diff swap koz the old one blew up and have got a v8 diff now realize that the yokes are different (much bigger) to the 6 cyl one it previously had in it, we have got the yoke off the 6 cyl one but cant get it off the v8 one to change them no matter what we try anytime got any suggestions as to how to undo it?

would i be better off changing the back half for a v8 tail shaft and join the 2? will a sedan shaft fit?

There are adapters/stepped unis available to allow them to bolt up when using different tailshafts/yokes. Dellow was it? My mate just picked some up after he put a tonner centre in his Salisbury. Ill try get the details.

Not sure if that solves your problem though.
