Is this legitimate? I thought the only surviving HDT HT monaro was one that crashed in practice & caught fire. I think they did an article on it in unique cars a few years ago. http://www.championsbroc...au/race/69_holden_HT.htm

Im not sure which HDT HT350 Monaros still survive, but I think the one you are talking about didnt crash in practice it crashed racing at Sandown a few weeks before Bathurst 1969.
This car seems a little unique or has the museum used a bit of poetic license. How many HT GTS 350s left the factory with a 2.85 rear axle, a Muncie gearbox & ERH70 x 14 Radial Ply (Original) tyres. Dr Terry |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

On of the many HDT 350 monaros endede up in the hands of Loyd Robinson (Monaro precision driving team originator) and was for sale in the 70s in Brisbane. Was his rally car and must have wanted to update. Do not know what happened o that one after that.

Re the Dayboro HK Monaro. I know of one that ended up in Laceys Creek (near Dayboro) on a mates family farm. Wonder if it was the same one. From memory it was a pale blue with beige interior. Powertrain was long gone by the time Dave got to it.

Why are race officals so afraid of penalising 888 racing? |
Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right. |
