Casting no: 7438296. Its a YT high comp head, i assume based on a 186. Has 3/8 studs. There are washers under the studs. Is this common practice?
I have shaft mounted roller rockers on my current head. I've been told you can pull the studs from the YT then drill and tapp for the shaft mounts? Or is it not worth it considering the motor only sees 5500 and the cam's a 30/70 with 440/460 lift int/ex?

Haha, holy hell. I tried every search you can think of with Holden head ID, casting numbers, etc and each time there were thousands of sites with snippets of info. To think a simple "head 7438296" would have worked a treat. Same on Holdenpaedia. Seems its a 161 head. Cheers. Looking at some pics, my studs have a hexagonal base. Are they screw in? they are in fact screw in studs and the washers were fitted because the posts are machined the extra bit to accomodate guide plates.
