Bright Blue Metallic .

In as original condition.

Black Interior 2 Speed Power Glide.

Thanks

Have been looking for quite a while and decided for the time being to put the search for the HK on hold.

The silver mink car that sold here last week sounded close to what i wanted.

I somehow got the impression he had bought the silver mink one. If id had the cash I would have had the truck fueled up and on the way to the central coast as soon as I saw the ad for it.

EDIT-
Ah, I misinterpreted the revised heading

** SOLD THANKS.HK GTS186S SILVERMINK. GRAFTON NSW

I read it as thanking the member HKGTS186S

Hi
Just a comment on the state of the market. I placed the ad for the Silver Mink 186GTS HK. It was a very good, completely unmolested car with heaps of receipts, log books etc. It was a well known car in the Clarence Valley. My friend John bought it from the original owner two and a half years ago. He was humming and Harring about selling it for a while. I offered to put it up on Fastlane for him. So he finally decided to sell it. It was difficult to come up with a price and being scaredycats like everyone at the moment we thought we were being very adventurous putting $40k on it. John was hammered for the first few days and just two days after listing a deposit from Perth was made.
People are still willing to pay good prices (and transport them across the country) for good cars.
To be honest I think it could have made another ten k but we did not think it was achievable when we listed it. He got heaps of calls even two weeks after I put "sold" on the listing.
Based on how quickly it sold I think things are not as drastic as some say they are for cars like these. There are bargains out there but I think only for lesser cars.
....My 20 cents worth.
Cheers
Nick.

I done the same thing with a car and in hindsight, which what this situation is,knew i couldve got more money.
I dont believe in bargains as cars and many other things are cheap or too good to be true for a reason.
This HK i believe should have been advertised as "expression of interest" and let the phones ring and see who offers you what.
This looked like an honest car with the books so its quick sale wasnt surprising to me at all.
Not everyone is feeling the pinch and people are still buying these cars.
I think 40K was a good buy.
At 56K we have seen this example http://australianmusclec...1969-hk-gts-monaro-186s. which has had the works done to it.
