What`s the narrowest tyre i can put on a 7" rim & an 8" rim ?
also what is the widest tyre i can put on a 6" rim ?

putting tyres that are to narrow or wide on rims is a bad idea, it puts stress on the side walls and your tyres wont last to long, and as gts308 said, it could be dangerous i have 14 by 8 inch rims with 235s on them 165 and 175 are little tyres to have on wide rims? I had 215s on an 8 and it was a small stretch, requiring an extra piece to fit them to the rim (like an inner tube that fills the void and pops out as the tyre expands onto the rim). So any smaller and it seems like trouble to me. Could probably get away with down to 205, but the question is...why? |
