LC GTRs didnt get the big booster, they were only standard on XU-1s. The LC82911 number on the body pate is the correct Model Number for a GTR. The LC08481A number is the Chassis Number not the Body Number if its the one stamped into the LH inner guard. The Body Number is on the 2nd line of the Body Plate after the Model Number

BTW the Caps Lock key is the middle one on the LH-side of your keyboard.

Hi Dave.

The only number that youve posted that suggests that its a GTR is the Model Number. Other numbers which can help to identify it are the Trim & Paint numbers, because certain trim & paint combination were unique to GTRs.
But all of these only relate to the plates themselves. The only way to accurately determine its origins is to get somebody (a guru from a car club or this forum) to check the whole car over.

Hi Dave, As the guru Dr Terry has said, you need to reveal more. Judging by the silence you may have discovered that you bought yourself a dud. I have yet to come across a cheap LC GTR with all the stuff as you mention and I have been into these cars for a very long time. Its interesting that the car is missing the VIN plate as almost all Torana owners have a copy of the production data. If the body plate is correct for the car then the trim data will help as X/Y/Z trim is unique to the GTR. If you were hoping it might be an XU-1 you are out of luck as it is too early for one of those.
