Looks like a Toyota Aurion had sex with a Mitsubishi Evo.
I dont like it. Its too much to look at.
I never really liked the VEs either.

Theres only 2 things I dont like:

1. Wheels on that particular one look terrible.

2. I think the bonnet scoops coupled with the inserts on the leading lip of the bonnet are overdoing it - either one or the other on their own would look nicer. The pics on that site show a couple of cars without those silver/chrome bonnet accents, and they look much better.

I actually like the Audi-esque running lights in the front bar, and the Senator looks fantastic.

I think this front end is a badly needed upgrade. HSV desperately need to differentiate themselves away from the regular SS-V. The previous model rear end achieved that, but the front, apart from the "panda eyes" bar, failed to clearly shout "Im not just an SS-V."

Cheers,

Mick

the mags are the ugliest part of the car, and i agree with commodorenuts 2nd point, the bonnet is too intense, they could do without the chrome on the front..as for the ugliest holden ever, i think the VE maloo might be a contender for that title..

Maybe Holden needed to use up thousands of surplus Pontiac G8 bonnets 8-(.

I never liked the "Panda Eyes" look on the HSVs and think that FPVs version "Alice Cooper eyes" is even worse but that front bumper is a massive improvement.

Then again I happen to like the VE shape overall. About the only feature that I find not right is the BMW 3 style lack of front overhang.

They did... they are even doing a "special edition" SS-V with the G8 bonnet and front bar. Trying to get rid of the old stock I guess?

As for the new E2, I think its a bit over the top. Looks a bit like a young F&F inspired kid has taken to the thing. Just add a few more scoops here and there.... The Senator will be the pick of the bunch.

Its an HSV (Holden Special Vehicle) and comes under Holden warranty.

I think it looks like a Subaru. And the rear end looks like it is frowning.

People will buy it as the power plant and the go fast gear will be the selling point.

Looks like the E2 is the bastard child of a Toyota Aurion and a Stormtrooper...

What theyve done is taken the nice, aggressive shape of the latest Commodores/HSVs, and over-cooked it...in fact, burnt it to a crisp. It looks like a rice burner, where cooking model cars with good drivetrains are made to look sporty and aggressive. Well, attempted.

Not one addition on this car adds style...only "racey" looks and "sporty" intent.

And yet, i think if i saw one of these cruise past, from the front or fron 3/4 view..id be inclined to like it...not bad for a modern car.
