HQ I thought it was for a monaro,I cant possibly fit that !?DONT GET ME WRONG,if its for a real concourse project or a special part,no problem, but half these cars(mine included)are just kingswoods,I love em but they are kingswoods....imho

The misleading-(deliberate or accidental) pxxxes me off. EG parts advertised as HQ-WB when blind freddy (if not the vendor) knows that the part is one model specific. HQ dash fascia I saw on ebay would fit your WB acording to the vendor.

And also parts that are common to every HQ being billed as
"GTS/Monaro/Statesman"

Im tempted to contact em but havent bothered.

You have to put things on as "GTS/ Monaro/Stato" etc because most people just use the search box and type in "HQ GTS" etc. If you dont do it that way they wont see the item because you havent listed it to get it to fall into their search parameters, if that makes sense.

What sh1tz me is when sellers deliberately keywood spam to get you to look at something which has nought to do with your search.

Every commodore part seems to be listed as HDT, HSV, Brock, SS, Calais - even down to 6 cylinder hub caps!

Cheers,

Do you get the little bits of paper as well?

Why are people so protective over their tag numbers? Are they similar to NATO missle launch codes?

Do these people cover them up at car shows?

I have an 81837 HG GTS 350 and i had to write all my details down on a piece of paper and send it off to register for the Nationals, thereofre i am sharing that tag info with someone i dont know. I just dont get what the secrecy is all about!

I think it is more the fact that when someone buys these tags and leaves the body behind. 2 weeks later they are for sale as a complete car. People are gunna go.. hey hang on, these tags were for sale on ebay 2 weeks ago. Then smell the biggest stinking rat you have ever smelt.

These will end up on a nice kingswood and instantly turn it into a Monaro. Just added a few $k to the value.
