Ive been working on a mate's HZ. It has a HG 253 and an aussie 4-speed with full cable clutch.
The clutch wont adjust up no matter what we do. Best we can get is the clutch pedal sits way too high. Or with the adjustment all the way out and the pedal at the height of the brake pedal, the gears grind when you try to engage a gear.
I suspect that the cluch pedal we have is for a six, and we need a v8 one.
Will the V8 pedal make the above issues go away?
Cheers.

Depends upon which HZ pedal it has. If its the original late type pedal (same as WB) then Dr Terry is correct, you need a V8 pedal.

If its the early type there is no difference between 6cyl and V8 pedals.

Which pivot hole is the clutch pedal in now? Top or bottom? Note if it has no top pivot hole its an early HZ.
