Hi Guys.

Most of you have heard about my new book thats been coming for what seems like, forever. I've picked up my batch today from the publisher & they are also being shipped out to various bookshops as we speak.

Anyway for those who haven't, a quick explanation of the new book is that it is a major update of my previous '50 Years of Holden' which I wrote 10 years ago.

This version however, is in colour on gloss paper, has 352 pages & heaps more info. It has a pic of virtually every model variant.

It has 104 separate chapters, one dedicated to each model series, plus prototypes etc.

Because I am a technician & not a journalist, the book is about model codes, engines, transmissions, rear axles, which model had what & so on. It's not a novel of fiction.

At the end of each chapter, every model variant is listed with their codes, option numbers & prices, then every engine, trans & diff spec is listed with their specs, carbies, option numbers & engine prefixes etc. etc.

In the appendix, I've listed all of the other specs - height, width, length, wheelbase, front & rear track, turning circle, fuel tank, kerb weight, wheel & tyre sizes, again for every variant of every model series.

I've tried to make this book to be THE Holden bible.

I would recommend purchase from Trax models, Pitstop Bookshop, Auto Book World etc, I can't play favourites, these guys are all reputable. If you're from Sydney I sell them (with a free autograph) from my workshop in Auburn.

Dr Terry

P.S. many thanks to guys like Warren, Ben, Greg & Byron etc. who have helped in some way with its production. Also, I would be glad to hear of any typos or corrections, if any are found.

I will find out how much a post pack type envelope is & get back to you with a posted price.

Hey, we wreck, you are welcome to a photo of us, but dont post it on the forum, imagine the rumours & gossip it would create.

Fantastic reference Dr T, I picked up a copy on Wed night and highly recommend it to anyone with a motoring interest.

Learned something new on every page I have thus far looked at, the colour format looks great and the dot point layout makes it easier to read.

The only (small) error I have picked up is in the appendix pg 326 in the HZ section is weight of a Prem is in mm instead of kg.

5 stars from me

Leroy

It does mention many of them, but thats a whole new area enough to fill a book on its own.

Picked my copy up today. This book is amazing. So comprehensive and well laid out, full of pictures and priceless info.

Also, Terry himself is a lovely bloke, helpful, friendly and free with his time.

Buy this book because you need it, and to support a bloke who deserves it.
