after a big block into HQ, this is my next favorite swap, its esay as, use HQ pan and pick up, pacemaker make pipes(ph5500)wiring now is dead easy, use ECU from VN and get it modded, fuel pump set up is also easy now, you can buy that set up usually from whoever does/supplies your ECU, use early type VN T700R with cable kickdown, relocate battery as cold airbox fits neatly into area where HQ have the battery. p/steer and a/con brackets all easy fit up or make for A/C. easy swap and awesome, you will never look back. if ya dont do that, put a big block in it, even better.
just read again and its a VT you have, not a VN, that means if you run the 4L60E, you will need a memcal or brain to drive that as well. if you use VT ECU ,you will have to scramble or redo all the codes such as airbag and BCM for anti theft, ABS and all that crap that they have, and delete the key settings, or else you have to use the column out of the commodore(like alot of guys do with early holdens, they use floors and dashes and columns out of VTs now in FE-FC), a bit more involved, thats why its easier to use a VN as a donor car, still very good swap tho. VT has independant rear, so nothing else bar engine/trans really not rear end
I innovate, never imitate..
