I have a 28/9/93 VR V8 Manual Executive Commodore fitted with FE2, ABS, sump guard, fuel tank guard and a large fuel tank. I suspect it to be an ex-police car but it doesnt have BT1 on the body tag; it does however have HOLDEN VR P/CAR on the VIN tag. Am I correct to assume that it is an ex-police car?
Body Tag Model: VR8VK19-125
VIN Tag VIN: 6H8VRK19URL6679##

I doubt that its an ex-Police car. A 125 pack is just a V8 Manual Executive & V8s get the large fuel tank as standard. FE2, ABS, sump & fuel tank guards are common options for country cars (as is a manual behind a V8). If it was a BT1 police car it would have the calibrated speedo, Calais dome light etc.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Awesome, thanks for that doc. Do you know what P/CAR means on the VIN tag?

P/car is passenger car.
If it was a police "special" it would have BT1 instead of 125
Holden used model option codes for model extensions, when fited, in those days.
