OK with all of the mentions here about scamming monkeys

http://www.fastlane.com....IC_ID=22803&whichpage=2

I have one hooked and intend to have a bit of fun with this lowlife.

This one is an oceanographer working on a boat out to sea.

They intend to pay me via PayPal and want me to send the shipping money to the UK via Western Union (buggered if I know why WU don't do something to stamp out these scum tarnishing their reputation).

So far I have sent a request to their email via Paypal for the cash and asked for their shippers UK address so that I can get a relative to pay them in person (just to see how they try to get out of that one).

Anyone got any other ideas on how I can stir this turd up a bit?

Maybe offer young Gabby some cheap parts [email protected] or bombard it with PayPal money requests or add their email to a few porn and spam addresses.

Actually entering their email address into Gmail and requesting a new password might bugger them up a bit if enough people do it.

Just a word of warning Jim - make sure you use Gmail if you want to email them.
Gmail does not sent the host IP address. I learnt this very quickly from a site called scambaiters.

I had a guy trying to buy right-hand-drive Chev parts off my father-in-law, and wanted them shipped to the USA.... We had him strung along for a good 3 months before he gave up.

Cheers,

Mick

Nothing to do with nigerians but when you get credit card junk mail and it has the Free reply post envelope, put junk mail in it or aplications for a credit card from another bank and send it to them, they soon stop sending junk mail.

Havent you learnt anything from that guy that gives sermons at church?...Captain whats his name.

Just read the Powerbook scam - very funny. The last bit disturbed me:
"Finally, and most disturbingly, Jeff was not heard from again. I personally e-mailed him for permission to run his story on ZUG, but after an initial response, I never heard from him again. All of his Web sites have come down, and he is nowhere to be found."

Maybe someone caught up with him!

The last scamming monkey that contacted me insisting on paying by PayPal went all quiet when I agreed to take PayPal but insisted on listing the item as a "buy it now" on eBay so that I could benefit from their seller protection. Funny that.

i got ripped off thru paypal recently, i got a email confirming $29US for a virtual gift....WFT!!!

i checked my paypal account to see if it was real and sure enough it was!

the transaction was in US dollars and apparently i'd purchased a virtual gift online, WTF is even a virtual gift!!!!

i obviously contacted paypal and complained and after many emails i finally got my $29 back

i know it was only $29 BUT there needs be a message sent so it doesn't continue, scammers give me the s***ts!

I wonder what would happen if you accepted money from one of these scammers via PayPal, put the money in your bank account gave them a false pickup address then closed your PayPal account down?

Now that would be funny.

We too love to play with them, they contacted us and said they want to purchase our $2,000 car and have it shipped to Africa so we said sure.
They then said a guy in America owes them $20,000 dollars so they will have him send us the cheque for us to deposit and then we deposit $18,00 direct into there bank account.
3 days latter we received a Wells Fargo bank cheque which is fake but they asked us because of transfer problems between Australia and Africa not to deposit the cheque for 7 days but do transfer the $18,000, we said yes we will and thanks for buying our car.
7 days latter they again contacted us and asked why we never deposited the $18,00 to which I said not nice things then they said if we don't send the $18,000 they will contact the FBI and I replied I dare you to contact them. They then sent us another $20,000 cheque from another bank but after googling it no surprise its a fake and they said the other one was incepted by a ring of scammers and this cheque is all good. I relpied I hope they love pizza and they said yes and I said good because I just wipped my butt with the cheque, we never heard from them again.

I have one on the hook at the moment trying to buy my XL500.

I have asked them whether they want the Ford V8 supercharged and turboed S model XL 500 or just the basic XL stepthrough model with the DOHV two stroke single cylinder? I have one of each but only want to sell one and keep the other.

They want my bank details so I'm going to provide them with Mr H. Potter at Gringotts bank and tell them that if they throw in an extra couple of hundred I'll throw in an invisibility cloak which is a brilliant anti theft device (then I can ship them an empty pallet).

Have a read of this email trail. They do indeed want the Ford V8 supercharged Xl500 best read from the bottom up. Now I' going to ask them if they want the invisibility cloak and the underwater kit that allows it to run under water for up to an hour.

To: James Forge <[email protected]>

i want the Ford V8 supercharged and get back to me with the paypal email or Bank details so i can make the payment for you..

OK I'll list it on eBay for $1,300 so that you can pay by PayPal. I'll give you a link to the listing once I have listed it. If we do it through eBay you are covered by buyer protection and I'm covered by seller protection.

Thanks for the response, Actually am interested in this posted AD and i will really love to purchase it right away. Kindly put off the ad right away and consider me as your favourite buyer and I will have my shipper come over for the handling of the shipping down to my place after payment has been received which would be through PayPal or Bank transfer as paypal is safe and secured for transactions online, advice soon as i am an hydrographer and i am buying this for my personal use, If this is acceptable kindly get back to me with your paypal email address and the details below so i can proceed with the payment. I can only pay through pay pal or Bank transfer at the moment as i do not have access to my bank account online, but i have it attached to my pay pal account, and this is why i insisted on using pay pal to pay,all i will need is your pay pal email address to make the payments, and if you do not have a paypal account yet,its pretty easy to set one up at www.paypal.com,i will be expecting your email.

I will need this following details so i can proceed with the payment right away

Your PayPal e-Mail Address/Bank details :

full name:

Bank Name:

Account No:

What is your reason for selling it?

Address:

Are you the first owner

Firm price

I'm sorry, just want to be sure about the sale before i proceed

Well it did not work. The scammer sent me the usual "PayPal has your payment on hold until the shipping company has been paid" message and then a message about which shipper to pay. I googled the shippers address and it was Canadian Airlines freight depot.
I wrote back to the seller and said that I had contacted Canadian Airlines Freight at the address but they would not accept payment until I could supply a delivery address so could they please provide me with a delivery address. So far after two emails requesting their address I have had no replies.

pretty sure i have one on the go at the moment. some illiterate person texted me the day after my car finished on ebay "is ur car still 4 sale..bak 2 me via paulwayne001 AT gmail.com". i have no problem with people who text in shorthand, but the emails i've recieved are the same. this is the latest "Thanks for the response,i will take it for 5000.00 including 3.9% PayPal transfer charges since i am interested in the immediate purchase.I just moved to the Malaysia, where this is needed and i will be making use of a shipping company to have this picked up from you and have it delivered to me.Further arrangements will be made with you in regards to the pick up once i have paid you.

I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too since i won't be be able to see this in person, what's the PayPal email to send funds to in order for me to pay you ASAP.

Regards. "
