Hi guys,

Having a bit of trouble sorting out how my GM saginaw power steering pump and alternator bolt back together onto my 350 chevy in my HK ute. Also what bolts to use where? If anyone has a few pictures of the pump and alternator mounted it would be a huge help.

In regards to air conditioning, does anyone have a setup in a HK with 350 chev, power steering and can advise me on exactly what compressor bracket will fit?

Cheers

Hi hg_lover.

Does your 350 SBC use the bolt hole style heads & the longer water pump, or does it have the HK 307/327 style set-up with no bolt holes in the head & the shorter water pump.

To answer the a/cond question requires the same info & also what style of compressor are you using.

Hi Dr Terry,

Sorry, i should have mentioned the heads (Edelbrock) have bolt holes and a long water pump. The alt bracket is OEM and its quite large with the curved surface. Can the alt go on either side? I know the p/steering must go on the passenger side?

As for the air con Ill be using a Sanden SD508 compressor. The link in the other post (speedyairsupplies) provides these brackets I noticed as well. I think its a matter of deciding which side and either top or side mounted.

As for the p/steering pump, my local mob is going to give me a hand thankfully! One lesson Ive learnt for next time is to take lots of pictures!
