im going to paint the chassis, control arms and diff out of my HQ panelvan (ex ambulance) over the chrissy holidays, i'm just wondering is there a particular colour i should paint it? or do i just ask the paint shop for a can of chassis black?

if there is a code or correct colour name to get what is it?

thanks pete, what sort of primer should i put on first?

sorry for the seemingly dumb question but ive never painted before, i usally take my cars and bits to the spray painter accross the road, but id thought id give it a go myself

The paint shop you buy your paint from will be able to provide a compatible primer to suit. It is important you use compatible products, and using the same brand, or an equally suitable product will help. Nothing worse than using incompatible products and having the finish look like wrinkle paint, frying, bubbling and peeling.
