These seem to appear NOS a lot. I bought a few from American Autos a while back for about $20 each.

Australia only item , you cant buy them anywhere else.
Its actually an american switch with a different arm made under liecense by Delco Remy Australia at the time , with an Australian made bracket .
Yes they are rare , but there was a surplus of Genuine New ones around Melbourne years ago from Clive Whelans surplus lots from Holden .

ppfftt, you blokes, ahhh just put a toploader in the HK, it will make the car worth more, and wont be as soft as that shocking saginaw, but then again, those cars never made enough power to turn the tyres let alone hurt a toploader, and at least ya can still get a reverse light switch for a toploader for $65.00, its the actual gearbag thats expensive, but, i spose with parts like a big port 4V, toploaders and nodular iron cases, thats what makes those 4 door taxis worth heaps and more desirable, even to the most staunch die hard GM man

They are a bodgy setup alright.
Frank, my mate tried toploaders in one of the HKs as we were worried about busting a valuable Muncie. Got sick of breaking Toploaders though and went back to a Muncie. Good point though, Falcons are good for something ie donors of toploaders and 9" diffs! Rest is scrap...
