im just going to give people the heads up on the blinker switch available from rare spares...i have just had the pleasure of fitting one to an lc column for a customer...now ive fitted a few second hand ones over my lifetime and generally they are a bitch but nothing like this little gem...

firstly,if you do not have your original switch with the wiring plug and bearing you will need to find a wiring plug and an original bearing.

problem number 1 no wiring plug on the end...

problem number 2 the bearing supplied with the switch is suppose to be round and not octaganol..

problem number 3 no earth strap supplied..

so after fitting an original wiring plug and throwing away the crap bearing supplied it does fit quite well..

but for a retail of 159 bucks give or take a few its pretty piss poor that you have to change bits and add bits....merry xmas to all...

Just a heads up.

If ever youre looking for a replacement switch contact Simon (user name *69cult* on ebay) as he is a great source of knowledge and parts.

I believe he has complete new switches with the correct bearing, indicator canceller (is there such a word??) and connector for a very reasonable price.

Also does great resto work on parts for customers to concourse standard.

Plus hes a nice guy.

Cheers

Jeremy

Thanks: 2 times
Is it correct that these switches are GM USA and not GMH? is that also why they have incorrect & missing hardware?

I could have sworn I recently saw that bearing in the Rares online catalogue selling at $93, but because the online catalogue is so well organised I cant find it again at the moment.

Hi

Youd need to confirm with Simon, but I think theyre reproduction made in USA.

The blincker cancel return thingo I bought from him was genuine GM USA.

Cheers

Available from the US for US$66.95. I got a few NOS in Delco and GM boxes a while ago for $50 ea and fitted one in mums HG Monaro, had to change the position of one wire in the plug and screw on the brass plate from the old one but it bolted straight in without a problem.
