hey everyone.
fiddling around with my GTS dash at the moment, as the tacho doesnt work. pulled the dash facias off so i can have a look at the gauge, hoping something was visibly wrong/disconnected. but no.
seems to be connected fine on the back of the coil, and looks to have a good connection on the back of the guage itself, but no joy. lightly sanded both of those connections aswell.
is there a ground for the tacho somewhere i dont see? only two wires seem to be on the back of the tacho (that connect to two seperate tounges), and there are 3 on the back of the coil (1 to disti, and the other two look to go into the car?)
so is this a commonish problem that anyone is familiar with? google and other holden forum searches didnt bring up much. :(

thanks for any help. :)a

hook 1 wire (+)directly to your coil positive and the other wire to the earth on your car (start car),if it still doesnt work its your gauge.probably the
cheapest option is to buy another one.

i have had cars before where the GTS dash tacho doesnt work during winter, and by spring it starts working again with a tap on the crash pad.
