Looks like one to me,but the shifter part is wrong I think.Im no expert,if it isnt and your after and original good luck finding one ,but I would buy that one off you.Im building a HQ panelvan that would be perfect,better than the hz one I got now. It is an HQ console. Is it GTS? Well the only difference in a Kingswood/Premier/GTS/Statesman console is the inserts. The inserts in this are neither Kingswood, Premier, GTS or Statesman, but a custom version of them. To find out if GTS you will need to remove the vinyl that is stuck to the front section. (Kingswood and Premier have metal insert stuck over GTS console, black for Kingswood and woodgrain for Premier and Statesman) So technically all HQ consoles are GTS console. That console is from a late 1973 to 1974 HQ ,they went to the full length opening down the middle, used seatbelt stalks instead of having the small 80mm x 68mm hole at the back to house the seatbelt buckles in. All HQ console lids / gear selector surrounds were made as a GTS fishscale type, Preimers,Statsmans and LS had wood grain inlay stuck over it and kingswoods had a black stipple inlay effect stuck to it. That GTS badge on your console looks a HQ GTS horn center badge stuck on it. Also all HJ consoles lids / gear selector surrounds will have HQ GTS fishscale pattern under the stuck on inlay. The answer to your ? ,is all full length HQ consoles start out as GTS ones But find a MONARO expert to be 100 % sure nice edit :-) Edited by user Tuesday, 26 January 2010 7:51:53 PM(UTC)
