HOW can it be Nos if it has been painted and lipped? Or is it still considered Nos as long as it has never been fitted?

To me it is a used guard, its been painted and the lipping means it is not even original manufacture specs anymore.

its definetley not NOS. its been used.
an unpainted/unmodified guard that has been fitted to a car, driven around with, and removed again, would be more New old stock to me. :p

everything on ebay is NOS or rare!!!

but in my opion, if its been modified (twice in this case) it cant be new still can it?

more like MOS (modafied old stock) or ANOS (almost new old stock)

I know of one asshole who got a brown VK console, doctored it up with a manual shift plate & boot, had it painted cerulean, and advertised it as a NOS VK Group A console. The thing spent 20+ years in a car, it was far from NOS - a coat of paint is not NOS!!

Cheers,

Mick
