If you want to be safe, never have to buy them ever again and want ease of adjustment , go and get yourself some second hand "APAC" (Orange Colour they are) Cast base stands from the 50s/60s era . I am still using the ones from when my father did his apprenticeship and they were old then at his Panel Beating shop ! They are the best ones you can get and have a threaded adjustment so you can have them at any height and are super strong . I have never been to a Super Cheap store and never would , but i have seen those chinese pin lock type stands on ebay and they probably may never fail and many have used them for years i am sure , but i would not risk my life on them . Hope this helps Cheers James www.monaromuscleparts.comEdited by user Thursday, 25 February 2010 6:19:14 AM(UTC)
