does the ADR plate have the words " coupe" on it? If it does it is probably a factory mistake that the 6 has been stamped as all monaros are 5 seaters, also does the body number match the one on the ADR plate? If it does them it is the right one for this car.

You should not need one if you just explain to the guy doing the RWC that it is a typo, should be OK. If not just get some info that ALL Monaor coupes had buckets, then also carry this in the car if you are pulled up by someone who will not see reason.

The seating capacity shouldnt be their concern at all .heres the reasons:they can only get you if you have more than the capacity in your car and being that it says 6 thats unlikely.2.nowhere for the extra seat belt to be engineered into the car?3.they dont stop people with 3 in a 5 seater an say wheres the other 2?lol.not there concern,if they want to take that up with holden so be it.they probably wont even look at it.

Hopefull that stupid QLD rule will disappear if the National COP is applied one day. In NSW you dont need to do anything if you say change a HQ bench to buckets using factory stuff. No-one would even notice that seating capacity discrepency in NSW.

Talking about seats ,I asked a cop at a car show(thats what he was there for)and he said you can fit any seats as long as they are forward of the build date...ie 1972 car ....1973-80-99 seats as long as you use the original factory mounting holes.I thought ,geez there must be alot of sandman utes/vans out there with all the mounting holes...lol Anyhoo, will they really pic on that seat cap thing over there?if they do then the car would/has been illegal?EVERY TIME THEY HAVE LOOKED AT IT! P.S . perhaps you could sue them?lol Jim in Adelaide...Hindsight is bad vision! Edited by user Friday, 5 March 2010 3:45:07 AM(UTC)

All HQ-WB have the same mounting holes for bench and buckets, so its just a matter of unbolting and bolting in new seats. HK-HG are a bit different though, where bench seat cars dont have the mounting point, but its not that hard to add and make look factory.
