The HJ coupe uses a unique rear bumper with the larger bumper bolts and slots for the jack. My question is wether the bumper brackets are different aswell or the same as HQ ?

They use HJ sedan bar brackets on the coupes, that is why the bar sits out further, plus they are stronger to lift the car.

Thanks for the reply. I have a HJ coupe with a HQ bar and was considering modifying HQ bar to suit./ Maybe I had better chase the correct bar.
I spoke to a chrome plater from Victoria at 2009 Ballarat swap who had a chrome plating busines replating bars who said he had one. Dont have his details, any ideas from those who live in Vic who it might be?

well, that just about wipes out 85% of chrome platers that now operate coz most of them know bugger all about chrome, and i doubt any of them have a HJ coupe, my guess it was vinnie, he has a HQ coupe
