dave, i know what you mean. to an extent. i dont mind some personalised plates, for example one of my mates has TK 67 HR on his 67 HR. makes sense. but i hate ones that imply that the car is fast or something, like 2FAST4U. i cant say i would ever get them

my current run-around has the number plate "SXC-455" which is if you do the whole, numbers that look like letters thing makes it "SXC-ASS" or sexy ass. haha, pure chance too, just the random plates that came with the car.

Custom plates can be good if they reflect something about the car, my old car came with the plates HQU-GTS which i did not mind. A guy at work had the plates SXY-SLX on a 98 Pulsar and got teased so much he changed them! Keep seeing a 80s Prelude getting around with the plates proclaiming i should be NVS of it, should get him the plates WAN-CAR!

I saw a porsche back when I was in high school, had plates PEN15 and I thought it was hillarious... not sure it was a guy who was not scared to let everyone know he was compensating or what!?

There is also a 911 up here in Brissie that has 4BJS as a plate... again, is it the girlfriend/wifes car and thats why she was bought it or maybe the owner is a pimp, or maybe a prostitute???

Either way, my plates would not be those!

As much as Id like personalised plates, I could never bring myself to own some on account of all the tragedies out there. Every now and then you come across an absolute gem though. There is a guy that parks near where I live who has INC WNC on his MR2 convertible. Took me a while to get it but once i did thought it was brilliant.
