I was always under the impression that 1974 cars could come with the stripes (as it is still listed on the build sheet) but according to a potential buyer of my car, stripes were only available in 1973. Fact or fiction?

My understanding is you got the stripes unless you ordered the car without them (deleted)& there was a limit of what colour you could choose, depending on the base colour of the car, as my Tangarine GTS4 was ordered with stripes deleted, as the buyer didnt like the loneoranger orange & tangarine combo or the black stripes & he couldnt get them to change the stripes to white through the factory due to the set combos.

I believe available from Mar 73(release of the 4dr GTS)but was still optional so you could order stripe delete. My uncle had a yellow LS coupe and he had GTS stripes put on at the holden dealer he worked at in the 70`s
