Yes there is quite a bit of tension on the TV cable. I'm using a cable for the accelerator, so don't know how the original mechanical linkage would handle it. Edited by user Tuesday, 16 July 2013 6:17:50 AM(UTC)

Here's some pics. My car is a bitsa, HK body, HT Prem Subframe, Chev, T700. Found it a bit difficult to get right in to show the mods done to the floor brace, but it wasn't much. Think I described it in an earlier post on this thread. You can also see the ratio box in some of the pics. Fitment was easy. Side view of the brace area. Back of the box. The distance down from the floor is about the same as the distance of the saginaw in my Monaro The Rear Crossmember, as supplied by CRS. I used Front Shock Absorber upper rubbers to further insulate the driveline from the body. The speedo cable joined to the Corvette lower speedo cable to give the cable extra length. A huge thank mate uv made my day! That's hardly any mod to brace and i know for sure an adapter kit is no good as that would eat into the brace another inch! Ps great paint job my under car pics would just show grease lol also how hard/easy was cable throttle to install?

Hi Maccaz69. The cable type throttle was a bit of a fiddle but worked out OK. As you know, the throttle and TV cables go hand in hand, so I started with a Throttle Cable Bracket that bolted to the rear carb studs and handled both the throttle & TV cables. TV cable I used was a Fitzall GM Adjustable Detent Cable. The throttle was a HJ etc V8 cable. Removed the accelerator housing & cover assay. from the firewall and made up a plate to bolt in its place. Drilled a square hole (!!) in the plate to locate the throttle cable outer. Used a HQ etc pedal pad and, to make the pad sit in a comfortable position, extended the rod behind it about 50 mm. Sounds easy doesn't it.
