Pedal box wont, the commodore ones are vastly different.
The rest of it will, but youll need a cable clutch pedal setup.

The plate & isolation boot for the trans tunnel in the VB wont suit the HZ either, so youll need to work out how youll cover the hole.

Cheers,

Mick

Youll need:

HQ-WB sump & pickup & new gaskets;
HQ-WB engine mount adapters;
WB V8 clutch pedal and cable;
HQ-WB exhaust manifolds or extractors;
Shifter boot;
HQ-HZ V8 radiator;
HQ-HZ V8 battery harness;
HJ-HZ V8 accelerator cable.

It should just bout bolt/plug in with that.

These should all be in the HZ already considering it has a 253 shouldnt they?

Yes. Except for shifter boot and clutch pedal.

But he doesnt mention changing the engine?

He only mentions he has a 253/trimatic, and his mate has the 308 4 speed VB, and that box will go straight onto the motor without having to change anything other than the flywheel & the spigot bush.

Cheers,

Mick

I get the question now. Tailshaft will be fine. You dont need a pedal box, no such thing on HQ-WB. You need a late HZ or WB V8 pedal, and a manual brake pedal to suit your booster (or chop the sides off the auto one to suit a manual pedal rubber. Why not use the 308 though?

No, they are hard to find. You may have to make one up out of a HQ-HX pedal similar to how some of the LX guys do.
Blue motor should have almost the same external pollution equipment as a HZ red motor, and actually handle it better. VB should be a red motor anyway.

thanks for that mate sounds like ive got a fair search on my hands then. thanks for the info bout the 308 as well i might look into using that as well, must say i prefer the torque of the 308 over the revving of the 253. thanks again for the info.
cheers
