Well Andrew, I think you should actually read the links posted. That only stopped Ebay from enforcing Paypal as the ONLY payment option.

ohh yeah...alrighty, now we gotta cage match happening, cool man, itch v clambake first, then absinth can come in, but only after jason makes stickers and hands then out to all the lebos and turks in the crowd saying the match is sponsored by oldholden.com and puts up his banners around the venue which still has to be worked out yet. byron can be referee, jim 5.0, greg and me can do points scoring, jamesy boy can be spit bucket holder and sponge boy(using HT houndstooth towels with MMP logos sewn into the towels)yea. Clambake has been on for 10 posts and is already abusing other members, the fact is that paypal is not mandatory but listing it as available is.
if ebay try to force people to only use it they would be in breach of accc rules whether or not they withdrew the requirement previously. ebay is aware of the stance of the accc and only withdrew the requirement (if they did) to avoid setting a precedent in other countries.
anyway I am fed up with this there is nothing new to say about it, tread your own path,at the end everyone is on their own.

First, I am not a big user.
Second, Ive had a look at Itchs YouTube clips.
Now, The first thing I did was remove my bank account details.
Tomorrow, I will start a new credit card with a small credit limit and make it my primary funding source.
They can argue with my credit card mob if I ever into that sort of shyte.

80569K - dont get a credit card. Get a bank account linked to a Visa debit card, and use this debit card instead.
This is what I do.
You have to put the money into the account first - now this may take a couple of days to clear if its with a different bank, but I have mine with the same bank, linked to my main account on the netbank screen, so I can shift money across and it shows up immediately.
Once you have the money in there, and you hit that nasty Paypal button, it then debits out YOUR funds like a credit card.
They cannot overdraw the account either, like they can with a credit card, so if you get your Paypal funds dropped into that account too, transfer them straight into another account, and they cant fraudulently take back their "payment" out of your bank account if a buyer disputes and your paypal balance doesnt cover it.

Thanks Mick, Just checked my accounts and have a disused one which operates exactly the way you said, it has no overdraft facility and Ive got the current visa debit card for it.
