The one I havent seen before says B7635

Date code says 26H0. (26/8/70??)

Could it be a serial/warranty number stamped by a reco place when it was done up in the past?

I thought your mark was the one there made by the engraver - its got a B on it as well.

It wasnt until I saw the photo that I posted that I noticed the date code 26/8/70. Its really faint, but its there.

So it could be an original part of the car (built 8/70) but not likely....
