Hi guys,
Are Cars that are delivered to New Zealand any differnt to the Aussie ones in terms of the way they are IDd??
As in say a GTO coupe that was delivered to New Zealand and sold new, if it came back to Aus would you have any trouble registering it here in Oz??

I think any car that comes to / back to australia has to be rechecked by the DMT ,when I went to get a 3 day pass for my corvette I even had to show them the boat docking receipt.Thats amazing and rediculous!so reguardless
of ID plates(which are different)itll still get a going over before rego...hope this helps.

Later cars are same IDs as aussy , early cars made in NZ had GMNZ tags (no adrs ) imported early cars mostly did not have ADR tag ,but some did , as in my LJ GTR which is NZ new , made in Aussy with all 3 tags . Mark . |
