Hi there,

Is there a difference between a Blue WB 202 cam and crankshaft gears and the VK 3.3L ones?

The reason that I ask is that I have reblocked' a WB 202 engine (replaced the block and crankshaft with the same from a Black motor).

I have a spare Wade camshaft that has a label that says that it should be used on EH to VH only and that VK that has a metric crankshaft gear fitted. It recommends replacing both timing gears.

Will a Blue cam fit to a Black motor or do I have to make sure that I get a Black motor cam? Can I just change the timing gear on the Blue motor cam to suit the Black motor crank?

Thank you for any advice that you may be able to provide.

Kind regards, Alan.

From memory blue and black gears are the same. Red are different. Have a look here:
