Its a HQ Kingswood wagon, originally a 202 auto with 3.36:1 diff.
Paint was Champagne Metallic Mk II (1863). Trim was Chestnut (39) vinyl (E). Engine isnt original for the car (too early).

If shes not rusty, leave it as it is but upgrade the suspension, wheels and tyres! Id look to mechanical mods like a 308 and trimatic but leave the column shift. Cool cruiser.

yeh mate she is relatively clean with the rust, that is nothing serious at all so im happy. definately going to do the suspension, get white walls, chrome mesh headlight covers and the venetians in the back. it alreaddy has the chrome strip on the hood and the sunvisor that i wanted. as for putting a V8 in it according to victorian law i cant have it even though its less powerfull then a VN V6. but id rahter keep it as a 6 annyway. and the interior is definately staying orriginal (im an orriginal guy)

Looks pretty close to Champagne to me http://gallery.oldholden...nt+Colours/HQ/Champagne/That interior is in fantastic nick for a close to 40y/o car, also is the engine no missing a digit as QL299xxx is around the mark for 3/73? okay leroy, your the bloke who does all the color and interior codes arent you? if so thanks for your recources because i used them and its much appreciated. if you can see a little patch to the front of the left guard that is actually the orriginal coat which is slightly a different shade which actually looks like the statesman in the link. And yeh its unbeliveable how good the interior is, its a shame the only letdown of the whole interior is the drivers door trim has a large whole in it and the sunvisors are gone, but the seats are 100%!!! I owe it to an elderly lady who drove it then parked it in a shed in 1998, then finally it got taken down here then i bought it a week later :)

punch a hole in the corner of the floor pans and the water goes straight thru.... thats what we used to do before everyone became overly precious.. going to church makes you no more a christian than standing in a garage makes you a car... www.classicozwreck.com.au |
