Hi all.
I was just wondering if anyone has fitted a set of GTS rims to a LC/LJ torana?
I am currently going through a brake upgrade and seeing if I can get the rear axles modified to HQ pattern or HQ axles modded to fit current diff. If not, I will do a VL diff conversion and HQ pattern.
I would prefer to fit rear disc but have all the HQ backing plates and brakes if needed.
Would welcome any comments if anyone has been through this.
I am documenting my coversion and will post when I get it all sorted.
Thanks
Eric

Hi,
another option might be to fit a set of drop centre 14"steel rims and retain the Torana centres.
One Idea I had was to fit UC Torana rear disc brakes to mine and keep the wheels original, probably never get around to it with all my other projects.
I hope this isnt an original GTR or XU-1 that you want to modify?
There are some rare Sprintmasters that were 14" too but you will need deep pockets for these, if you can find them.
14" Sprintmasters must have been fitted to Race Toranas and HG Monaros with a different rim edge and offset.
hope some of this helps,

Hi Mike..
No, not an original GTR / XU1. Just a one family owner 4 door!!
I have currently got a set of HT 14" rims on it but going through a rebuild at the moment.
I guess we all have things we like and GTS rims do it for me. lol... Nothing wrong with better brakes too!! We have been throwing lots of ideas around at the moment while its in bits and one was a V8!! We have most bits in the shed so it sort of makes sence.
No rush, chat with people and see what others have done. Nice to do something a little different.
