I have Supra 5 speed behind a 253. It was supplied with a pretty crappy plastic flywheel cover (10 yrs ago). It has long since gone and I would like to replace it.

Two questions:
1. Can a normal Holden metal flywheel cover be adapted to fit.
2. Are the aftermarket Automatic flywheel covers for a Holden V8 the same as the manual gearbox ones?

thanks Scott

It really depends who made the kit/bellhousing.

Ive had one where nothing fitted, and it required a lot of hacking of the metal cover to make it work, and others where the regular metal cover plate is re-used and simply bolts up.

The same metal cover plate is also used on commodore V8 trimatics, so theyre not hard to find.

Cheers,

Mick
