Turbo pattern was made specifically to bolt to Chev gearboxes. So a TH pattern 253/304/308/350 Holden engine is a Chev engine as far as the box is concerned. Just be careful of using it in a HX or early HZ though as the clutch mechanism wont fit since it bolts to the bellhousing bolts. HT-HJ and mid HZ-WB is fine.

Awesome work HK1837.
Can anyone tell from the picture on the trademe ad what sort of bracket and hence what sort of clutch mechanism would match?
I have a rat trap push type with my 3 speed currently.
Cheers

Its a bit hard to tell, looks like an aftermarket fork. See if you can get a photo of the side showing where the clutch fork is. It also looks like a genuine Chev cast iron bellhousing with an adapter plate made up, so it may not bolt in properly. It may even be a 6cylinder box by the look of it which means the shifer, tailshaft etc will all be wrong as the box will sit forward.
