Hi all

I've a broken trim bolt on the Premier bonnet trim.

Any ideas??

Can't grab the end of it with vice grips and it seems too small to drill into and use an extraction tool.

Help??

Thanks all

Cheers

Jeremy

Grind or file the broken bolt flat, then drill centre of the bolt with a drill that is the size dia that you use to tap 1/8 dia. Could be 3/32 dia drill. Then re tap thread. Sometimes the bolt will un screw with pressure from the drill. Any good bolt shop(not bunnings)will be able to supply the correct drill and a bottoming tap.Take a bolt with you to check correct thread. Good luck.

Is there enough sticking up to cut a screwdriver slot in it with a Dremel? Then I would try that and lots of soaking in penetrating oil before re tapping threads.

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.
