Okay, it's stupid question time.......I have an elect diz and it has 3 wires coming out of it.1 wire has an eyelet on it(coil neg side?)..another wire has a female spade and the last wire is joined to the eyelet wire and has a female bullet connection.A wireing diagram please.Peter.

Eyelet goes to coil negative, and the bullet that runs off it is the tacho feed (for a negative trigger tacho). This "eyelet" is normally a rubber/plastic moulded push-on fitting, but as they have failed over the years, a lot have been replaced by whatever terminal would do the job.

Spade terminal goes to coil + terminal.
Off the other side of this + coil terminal you need a full 12V+ ignition feed.
