Hi Guys,
I am wondering if someone here can help me with a booster bracket question.
I have just bought one from ebay and having a hard time trying to fit it. Can someone tell me how many different types there are out there and if someone has a pic of one on their ride, can they please post it. I only ask because neither way i put it seems to fit the firewall.
I am running aftermarket brakes so do i even need one as i have not got the booster as yet.
Any info would be great guy and thanks in advance.

Sorry I left me words out...

The one in the ebay picture is what you want, I assumed you had bought the relay type. Easiest way out is to get the one that was intended for your car.

There are 2 different types of booster set-up for HK/HT/HG but they are basically interchangeable as complete assemblies on your car. Early HK had a style which incorporated a relay lever & late HK to HG had one with a direct long push-rod going straight thru to the pedal.

They do require 2 extra holes to be drilled before it mount to the firewall. There should be 2 small 'dimples' in those spots on the firewall. It mounts using the 2 newly drilled holes plus the 2 old master cylinder mounting bolt holes.

There should be 2 holes on the pedal arm where the push-rod clevis connects. The lower hole is used for the direct (long) push-rod & the upper hole is used for the shorter rod if you're using the HK 'relay lever' set-up.

Yea the one in the ebay pic is exactly the same as what i got but none of the bolt holes line up. no where near close. Now to get this straight, the end with the rubber boot goes into the firewall right?

As I said, 2 new holes need to be drilled in the firewall, but the 2 lugs on the bracket should line up with the old m/cyl mounting holes now.

Are you saying that the centre to centre dimension of those 2 holes is different. They should be around 85 mm from centre to centre.
