Hi Guys
I am having trouble fitting th grille to my HK, seems to clash with the light surrounds and thus they won't go far enough back to let the adjuster screw thru the radiator support panel. Does anyone in melb have an original car that I can take a look at? thanks

You may have HG surrounds. Have a look on the back. If the casting has numbers listed starting in 28, for both black and plain they are HG. If the ONLY numbers listed start in 74 then you have HK/HT units. |

Thanks Byron. The casting numbers are 7434079 amd 7434080 as they are factory black. When you fit up the surrounds without the grille they fit perfctly, but once the grille is in place they sit out at the bottom. I don't want to modify them in any way as

Are you using the HK or HT grille? The HK/T surrounds won't fit a HG grille. The HK radiator support has end mounts adjacent to the lights. This is absent on HT and HG. |

It's a HK grille. The end mounts are there but they appear to be out too far at the bottom. perhaps at some stage they have been spot welded on upside down (left on right and vica versa.is there any difference in the brackets Thanks Ted
