Was wondering if anyone could help me with some info about this Model. I want to know how many 6 cyclinder XA Coupes were made and were they rare or pretty much a run of the mill model. Any stat minded replies would be greatly appreciated.

It seems to be alot harder to find genuine 6 cylinder Coupes.

Kind regards

Kev

Below is the number of falcon and Fairmont XA coupes made. Exact numbers for 6 and 8 cyl cars are not available at the moment that I know of. No matter what motor or option you have an XA coupe is still pretty rare. For more info might pay to join the aussiecoupes site. Cheers,
Paul.

XA 500 4525
XA Fairmont 3273

The 6 cylinder XA,XB coupes were not uncommon, but as you state, are rare to find with a 6 still in them. I guess if you are going to have a car with those looks, why would you want an old 6 pot?

Guys, any idea what a ridiculously original XA Coupe 6 would be worth these days?. I have searched but have not seen any that have changed hands recently. It has been garaged all its life so naturally the body is perfect.

Interested in opinions.

A ridiculously original XA Hardtop that has never had rust......Priceless!

Seriously though they did suffer a bit from the old tin worm so If you can get one that has never been rusted pay whatever you can afford because you will likely never find another unrestored one as good.

Thanks for that Jim,

I know for a fact that this car has been garaged all its life and covered. I suppose rust is still a possibility even in that scenario but it would be bugger all. The elderely man who owns it treated it like a part of the family.

I already own a HJ Monaro that I purchased off the original owner thats why I will buy this one when I get the chance, because of its authenticity. Would never put a big donk in it, I like things how they are. To have a very original Holden and Ford would make me very happy.

Thanks again

grab the coupe if you can. Sounds like one of those rare hidden gems. Is it a falcon or fairmont not that it really matters. Really glad to hear you plan on keeping the old girl original.

Paul, its a Falcon 500 and it has a vinyl roof too. Keeping it original and well cared for is going to be something that makes him sell it to me. They are family friends and want it in good hands. Fingers crossed.
