Hi all.. Just a warning about an ebay seller misleading potential customers. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/w...wItem&item=230526492722.
I have notified this guy that the nosecone he is advertising is not a premier nosecone. He wrote back argueing that it will fit so he can claim it as a premier nosecone.
I hate people like this.. They deliberately mislead uneducated (holden cars) buyers and give us all a bad name..

whats so misleading it will fit a premier if you want a single headlight set up.he's probably degrading the sale by adding premier as the single head lights are worth more these days due to the monaro boom not like years ago everyone wanted the prem fronts.ahh how times have changed

Thats one of the less misleading ebay ads I've seen in holden parts. At least he's only used the model's that this nosecone will bolt straight onto. Usually parts are advertised as fitting HQ-J-X-Z-WB, even things like a WB Statesman taillight which will fit nothing but a WB Statesman/Caprice.

Priced himself out of the market anyway. A rusty panel from the least desireable front end of the series isn't going to be overly popular.

is that not a HX GTS/Sandman nose panel? it has the holes for the vents in the front spoiler.

Vandals and graffiti "artists" do everyone a favour and target parking meters and fixed speed cameras only.

I had noticed the holes but figured they were something that wasn't too hard to put into any single headlight front. Unless you see it come off a GTS or Sandman with the same coloured original paint then it can be slightly sceptical.

Whether it fits or not is irrelevant. It's not a Premier nose, so he shouldn't have it in the title.

But yes, when i list a part i put up just what it is. If i'm selling an HQ grill or something i'm not going to put "XU1, GTR, Monaro, SS" and any other moniker i can think of in there just to make it pop up in more searches.

Sure it works, but it annoys the hell out of me!

You can annoy them back by asking them a question like "Do you have any more of these available that will fit a Kingswood?"

Thanks: 2 times
If it bothers you then report the ad for "keyword spamming".

Jim5.0, after looking at the pic I agree my brother in law has an unrestored HJ GTS sedan with spoilers and those holes in the nose cone behind the spoiler, if the panel he had had not been butchered and was from a spoiler car it may have been worth more to the right buyer.
