Pretty odd... Why wouldn't you find a factory RHD Monaro and just stick the GTO front on it???

I was going to say the same thing. Even if you had a cheap donor VT/VX 4-door for parts, it's a lot of work & not worth the effort financially. I worked in export at Holdens in 05 with the ls2 cars I drove them on a daily basis , they had plenty of go.
