Hi, I have a HG Brougham I am hoping to restore one day... I had a look at the vehicle serial number the other day (70005) and assumed this would mean it was the 70,005th HG Holden made? Is there any way of identifying from the I/D plates what build number my HG Brougham is? Hoping someone may assist. Cheers.

Depends on the plant that assembled it.

No problems, the full number is 81469GH670005, I am assuming that 'H6' indicates that it was assembled in Sydney? Cheers.

Yes, it is a Pagewood (Sydney) build. It is the 170,005th vehicle assembled at Pagewood since 1/1/68, this will include HK, HT, Torana, Impala, Pontiac etc. The number you are looking for is on the BODY plate called BODY No. followed by -S. It will tell you what # HG from Pagewood yours is (all HG, not just Brougham).
