This goes back to maybe 1973?. The xa had somehow jagged a sales lead(or 2 months or something) over the HQ. henry ford must have had the lube and the hanky out, because I remember seeing a full page newspaper add in the showroom of the local Holden dealership, taking the pxxx out of the ford add.
There was a cartoon, something like an adult patting a child on the head. Ring any bells with anyone?
I'd love a copy to for a T shirt.

Not sure about the ad, but I'm pretty sure the XA only got those couple of months due to industrial action at GM-H causing a slow down in supply. My Dad went on a waiting list for an HQ rather than going for the XA. Glad he did.
